Tacos Padre
Tacos Padre is a chic green and white-tiled Mexican taco stall in Borough Market. But there’s nothing chic about how we eat one of their battered fish tacos after a few punchy, frozen margaritas. This is a pit stop kind of place without any seating—but the tacos are perfectly sized so you can juggle a couple and eat them in a few bites as you avoid the market stampede. Fillings—like the rich, fall-apart beef suadero with fresh shaved cabbage—are generous and tasty, but a little forgettable. Still, grabbing a couple of tacos on a sunny day is a good way to satisfy a craving for chewy corn tortillas and rich, slow-cooked meat, before moving on to the market's other stalls.
