Silk Road
At Silk Road, rocking up with a group of friends is the way to go. Everything at this classic Chinese spot in Camberwell (specialising in the spicy cuisine from Xinjiang) is very good, and also ridiculously cheap. The ‘big plate’ chicken noodles can easily be shared between two, and the cumin lamb skewers are a bargain at £1 each. You could conceivably come here and just order ten of them - we can’t say your GP will approve, but it’ll be damn good. It’s cash-only.
