Those are the key things you need to know about the menu at Pidgin, a cutting-edge, set menu-only restaurant on a quiet Hackney side street that food tourists and increasingly well-to-do locals have been heading to since it opened in 2015. The food’s influenced by the kind of things you’d see on Chef’s Table, and elements of dishes will remind you of anything from Japanese to Scandi cuisine. Most plates looks too pretty to eat. The price and small, relaxed dining room make it an accessible place to check out fine dining at affordable prices.
