If someone told us that Mother Clucker was the product of two hungry lads, sitting in their halls’ fire escape at 5AM and deciding to open a chicken shop, we’d believe them. This chicken was clearly designed by the hungry, for the hungry. It’s tea brined, twice battered, buttermilk soaked fried chicken, and it’s very tasty. The spot itself is not somewhere you come for a sit down meal with your loved ones, it’s more of a smash-and-grab fried chicken situation. Come for the £7 signature chicken strips, and test out their eye-watering collection of spicy sauces, from jalapeno and lime to a Bajan red hot pepper sauce, that will turn your entire being into the flame emoji.
Mother Clucker is permanently closed.
