Part of a mini-chain, Made In Italy 3.0 in Battersea is a charming spot with exposed brick, a chalkboard menu, and a cosy fireplace upstairs. You’ll likely be elbow-to-elbow with your neighbour, but you’ll also have an excellent aubergine parmigiana pizza sandwich in front of you. Imagine a calzone filled with tender aubergine and enough mozzarella to get its cheese pull in the Guinness World Records—it’s moreish and absolutely genius. The food here is is reliably great—the sourdough pizzas are rich and doughy, and are mostly under the £15 mark. It’s a place to come for a solo pizza, a cosy date night, or an impromptu dinner with friends. Plus, they’ve also got some great vegan pizzas topped with things like truffle paste or seitan salami.
