Genesis

In the beginning, there was vegan burgers, hot dogs, and tacos. At least that’s the story of genesis at this entirely plant-based diner on Commercial Street. It has a long menu of quick comfort foods, think everything from a seitan shawarma to an ice cream sundae. There’s a lot of pink seating and fluorescent lighting going on but this place is perfect for a catch up over cocktails or a quick-fire vegan lunch if you work in the area. Will you resent paying £45 for dinner for two with counter service? Probably, yes. Will the jackfruit hoisin taco make up for it? Absolutely.
