Ebury by Fat Macy’s is a ‘mission-driven neighbourhood deli’. What does that mean? It means they run a programme that helps young trainees move from hostels into their own homes and will feed you a banging cheese toastie with green chilli butter. Open from 10am to 7pm Tuesday to Saturday, the menu here leans towards Mediterranean and Lebanese. Think hummus, chickpea-packed boreks, and halloumi fries. A lot of it is available to go, so if you live or work around Victoria, they should definitely be on your radar for lunch or an oh-so-casual trip to their lovely shop that sells artisanal products and natural wine. If the weather is nice you should know that their big courtyard outback also happens to be one of London’s best-kept secret spots for a low-key summer hang.
