The follow-up to the excellent Bar Termini in Soho, Centrale is a brilliant Italian-style cocktail bar hidden away beside Selfridges with fantastic cocktails, espressos, and a laid-back vibe that’s hard to beat in any neighbourhood. The bartenders wear aprons and there are Art Deco prints of vintage cocktails on the walls, but it’s not cheesy at all - in fact, it feels pretty darn cool. It’s great for stopping for a quick coffee or drink during the day, or hanging out post-work before wandering over to one of the restaurants along nearby James Street for dinner. The Aperol Spritz here is exceptional, even if it is on the pricey side.
