This modern Indian restaurant is a stone’s throw away from Piccadilly Circus, and as well as making a tasty chicken tikka masala and wagyu kebabs, they’ve got a Diwali vegetarian sharing platter on offer until November 6th. Book a table if you’re into dimly lit rooms and veggie snacks.
Reigning king of Indian fine dining, Gymkhana is celebrating Diwali for the first time in three years. So you can expect an extravagant, and delicious, feast of things like samosa chaat, chana masala, and kasundi mustard Bengali prawn curry. It’ll be going on for the whole week, but call ahead to avoid disappointment.

This new opening in Mayfair is from the restaurant minds behind Gymkhana and Bao, so it’s no surprise that the food here is excellent. From the November 4th to the 6th, you’ll be able to get your hands on their special duck sharing feast which includes confit duck leg shammi kebab, duck heart ghutwa kebab, and a duck crown in awadhi brown stew. You can reserve your duck-filled feast by emailing them at email@example.com 48 hours in advance.
Fancy schmancy Indian restaurant Jamavar is doing candlelit Diwali feasts in Mayfair. And when we say candlelit, we mean ‘wow, sounds like a lot of candles guys’. They’re collaborating with Jo Loves (candle brand by queen of Pomelo, Jo Malone) to create a seriously stylish collaboration that will also feature seriously tasty things like wild mushroom and black truffle khichdi, shahi mutter paneer, and their signature dal. It’ll set you back a cool and casual £99 but that includes a wine pairing, and, according to our calculations, at least £50 in complimentary luxe candle sniffing.
Every meal feels like a celebration at this lively Indian restaurant in the City, but to mark this particular occasion you should get involved with their vintage Bollywood party which includes a DJ playing classics, drinks, and a feast that includes their original BBQ butter chicken wings, chicken biryani, and duck samosa chaat. It’s only going on until November 6th and this is a popular spot, so book your table ASAP.
