Plan Ahead: The London Restaurants Reopening Later, That You Should Book Now

A list of popular London restaurants reopening this summer.

Not every restaurant in London reopened on July 4th. In fact, some of our favourite spots are waiting a little longer until opening their dining rooms again, hand sanitiser and all. That said, it doesn’t mean you can’t get ahead of the game and book in advance. Because the early bird catches the worm.

September 1st

  • The 10 Cases: London’s Parisian-feeling wine bar in Covent Garden is back with bottles and beef tartare.

  • Clove Club: The Shoreditch fine dining spot is back open for lunch and dinner reservations.

  • Holborn Dining Room: Pie, pie, and more pie. That’s what you should be eating in the Holborn Dining Room. Book for pie now.

  • Andrew Edmunds: If you have a romance with one of London’s great romantic restaurants, then you’ll be happy to hear the Soho stalwart has reopened.

September 2nd

  • Bocca Di Lupo: A restaurant after our own hearts, Bocca Di Lupo is taking its time at the beginning of September.

  • The Blue Posts: The tiny Rupert Street pub will incorporate an extended pavement for outdoor drinking on September 2nd.

September 3rd

  • The Palomar: The modern Middle Eastern eatery will reopen and, in exciting news, will make their counter seats available for bookings.

  • Supawan: The excellent Thai spot on Caledonian Road has had a bit of a refurb through the last six months of closure. It’s reopening on September 3rd.

  • Harwood Arms: An excellent restaurant with a pub-ish exterior, the Fulham spot reopens for lunch and dinner in early September.

September 4th

  • Frenchie: The home of the bacon scone will reopen in Covent Garden this Friday.

  • Wild Honey: Slick all-day St. James's spot Wild Honey will reopen this Friday and be open from lunch until dinner Tuesday to Saturday.

September 8th

  • Bancone: This Covent Garden spot's sibling restaurant on Golden Square in Soho reopened back in July, but you'll have to wait till the end of the summer to visit the smaller of this pair of slick handmade pasta specialists.

September 9th

  • The Barbary: There are a bunch of new Middle Eastern dishes on the menu at this counter restaurant in Covent Garden. And for the first time ever, the kitchen counter is completely bookable.

October 1st

  • Decimo: When we reviewed Decimo, a 10th floor party restaurant at the top of the Standard in Kings Cross, we called it a place that knows exactly who it is and what it does. And it'll be doing it all again from October 1st
