Persephone Cafe is one of the best spots in town to grab pastries, breakfast, lunch, or drinks. While they have three locations (one is named Picnic), the original on Broadway has a delightful summer patio, perfect for relaxing with friends or just hanging out and people-watching. For breakfast, try the croque madame, bread pudding french toast with whipped lemon ricotta, or an herbed goat cheese omelette, and when lunchtime rolls around, get some smoked trout salad or a mortadella sandwich with pistachio pesto.
