Villa Arcos
Ask most folks in the East End where to get breakfast tacos, and you will likely hear the name Villa Arcos more than a few times. The beloved breakfast and lunch taco spot has been a neighborhood favorite since 1977 due to their fluffy, fresh, and buttery handmade flour tortillas. Despite a brief hiatus during the height of the pandemic, Villa Arcos has supplied a never-ending line of construction workers, hipsters, local heads, and even politicians with egg-stuffed breakfast tacos—known as Supers on the menu—barbacoa, plates of machacado and eggs, and weekend bowls of menudo. Not much changed about Villa Arcos: the interior, including the tables and chairs, is bright red, it’s counter service, coffee is only served in a styrofoam cup, and bussing your own tray is expected.
