M&M Grill
If you aren’t keeping an eye out for it, you might easily drive right past M&M Grill. The modest halal restaurant has Mexican and Mediterranean food, but it’s also home to gargantuan burgers and crispy fries. Inside, there are about 10 tables that are usually full of U of H students discussing their latest chemistry quiz, with the ambient sounds of metal spatulas flipping burgers on flat top grills. The menu is straightforward, with four types of burgers to choose from, and you should get the loaded swiss mushroom burger, with perfectly melted cheese between double patties, alongside a pile of crispy fried onions and mushrooms that sit under the meat like a deep fried support system.

Loaded Double Cheeseburger
The tender loaded double cheeseburger is covered in melted American cheese, drizzled in a spicy house sauce, and given a bed of crispy fried onions to rest on.

Loaded Swiss Mushroom Burger
The swiss mushroom burger here follows the same double-patty protocol as the loaded double cheeseburger, but swap out american cheese for swiss, and add in fried mushrooms as a buddy for the fried onions.

Onion Stack
After having a taste of the crispy fried onions on the burgers, you’ll understand why they're sold by the basket like the fries. Have them with the house ranch or eat them alone by the handful in- between burger bites.

Chili Cheese Fries Basket
A heap of crinkle cut fries, seasoned chili, and a river of melted cheese that we’d like to paddle down join forces to create the chili cheese fries basket. The basket is big enough to be its own meal, so bring a pal if you need backup.
