For fans of brightly colored dining rooms, 1980s decor, and dim sum, check out Golden Dim Sum in Chinatown. It’s possible the dining room at Golden looks exactly the same as the day it opened—aggressively teal walls, gold and red dragon banners—with the only addition being a full-color wallpaper of every dish on the menu permanently adhered to an entire wall. Don’t know what Golden serves? Well, the second you shift any direction in the dining room you definitely will. And while these aren’t shiny new digs, Golden still makes excellent dim sum, especially any of the fluffy steamed buns, every single day of the week. So grab a paper menu and mark up as many dishes as possible with a group of friends or just a casual dumpling-themed dinner.
