Bánh Mì Bon
Bánh Mì Bon is a bright and cheery Vietnamese cafe in Westchase. Every detail of the interior and the menu have a bit of whimsy, down to the cartoon depictions of the owners on the sandwich wrapper stickers. Opened in 2020, Bánh Mì Bon serves bánh mì, of course, but also bowls of phở, fried calamari, fish sauce-laced chicken wings, vermicelli bowls, and grilled pork chops—just to name a very limited few. The bánh mì here are pretty serious. Each sandwich is basically two sandwiches, because they’re wrapped with fluffy, thick bread and filled with fistfuls of cilantro, thick slices of cucumber and jalapeño, and sweet marinated pork or crispy tofu. Pop into Bánh Mì Bon if you need a break from rush hour traffic on the toll road or a picnic snack spread before hitting up George Bush Park.
