Today's Friday Fives comes from one of the most legendary pass catchers in football history, 14 time Pro-Bowler Tony Gonzalez. If you've played fantasy football over the last 15 years, Tony G has surely helped your squad at some point. Those tight end points used to be hard to come by.
A couple years removed from the game, Tony is now part of the broadcast team for the CBS pre-game show NFL Today. More importantly, he stars alongside his older brother (and life wingman) Chris, in a new documentary, Play It Forward, which premieres tonight on Showtime. The doc was executive produced by fellow former football player Michael Strahan, and received great reviews at Tribeca Film Festival this past year. Football fans and non-football fans alike should set the DVR for this one. Showtime, really delivering the goods these days.

Tony's "Perfect For" Picks - LA
Action At The Bar
Rock & Reilly’s Irish Pub (8911 Sunset Blvd.) - "Great bar scene and a great location – right on Sunset Blvd. It’s the perfect place to watch the games...or just sit back and check out the “scenery.""
Petrossian (321 N Robertson Blvd.) - "The combination of mimosas, caviar and a good cup of coffee in an all-white setting cannot be beat."
Unique Dining Experience
The Playground 2.0 (220 E 4th St., Santa Ana, CA) - "Kind of like omakase, but not sushi – even though sometimes it is! There’s no menu - Chef Jason Quinn selects the food, pairs it with drink, and creates outstanding dishes while explaining each in detail… making 2.0 the ultimate dining experience. There’s only 17 seats – make your reservation weeks ahead of time."
Tony's "Perfect For" Picks - NYC
Full On Pork Indulgence
The Cannibal (113 E 29th St.) - "I don’t always eat pork, but when I do - I prefer cannibal. Literally a pigs head – snout, teeth, and a little bit of heaven. Trust me on this. (you don’t eat the teeth). As a beer snob, Cannibal’s beer list exceeds my standards – great beer list. Pork and beer!! Can’t be beat."
Lure Fishbar (142 Mercer St.) - "New York City’s freshest fish in a setting that feels like you’re on a yacht – entertainment included. Chef Capon… he is a rockstar. They also have the best burger in the city...Weird I know."
