In tech talk, The Chainsmokers, aka the NYC DJ/producer duo of Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall, are what you'd call a unicorn.
It's damn near impossible for a new artist to score a big novelty hit - which The Chainsmokers did with the absurd "#Selfie" a couple years ago - and NOT disappear off the face of the planet. Somehow, the opposite transpired. These guys blew the roof off. They had multiple follow-up singles that did well, and then "Roses" which is absolutely massive. LMAFO, be jealous. Be very, very jealous.
While The Chainsmokers most certainly come off as goofy and kind of a joke, the joke is on everyone else. These dudes are on fire - get used to seeing them everywhere. Including eating steak au poivre at Raoul's. Friday Fives picks below.
"Raoul's is the most classic French steak house. The steak au poivre is the undefeated champ along with everything else on their menu. For the quality of the food and the environment, and the fact you can get a table relatively easily, its unbeatable."
"It's owned by a bunch of white gringos but there’s no better burrito in NYC available."
"We don't think celebrities go anywhere else but this spot. Richie Akiva holds it down so hard on every and any night with celebs. Not that it really matters, but this is definitely the spot if you're trying to live the OK Magazine life."
"The spicy rigatoni. We had never had pasta until we tasted this beautiful deliciousness..."
"No other city we have ever been to has a park like this, that goes directly through two of New York City’s best neighborhoods, Chelsea and The Meatpacking...."
"Sundays during football season this spot is unbeatable....not to mention this is probably the best place to pick up a cute girl... but it’s a little high end for just being a simple sports bar."
"Wass Stevens at Avenue represents harder than any door person in the world... he's also an incredible actor!"
