Taran Killam of SNL

Saturday Night Live has been really good this season. Way better than many expected it to be, after losing so many great cast members. But just as Lorne Michaels has done for so many years, he's put together a solid crew of up-and-comers to carry the torch for the next generation, including today's Friday Fives guest, Taran Killam.

A cast member since 2010, Killam has taken a big step into the limelight this season. From Mokiki and his Sloppy Swish, to twerking with Miley (pictured), to his character Jebidiah Atkinson, suddenly Killam is the face of SNL in 2014. Aside from his obvious abilities as a funny person on camera, Killam also has some writing skills as well. He recently debuted a hilarious new comic book series called The Illegitimates. You should spend some time with it.

To fuel the comedic fire, it appears Taran loads up on #EEEEEATS at familiar NYC feeding facilities, most of which are Infatuation approved. Check out Taran's restaurant picks below, and to keep up with the latest, follow him on Instagram.

Taran's "Perfect for" picks

Benjamin Steakhouse Perfect For: Damn Good Steaks 52 E 41st St

"Start with the onion soup. Order the rib eye steak for four (with two of your friends ;)) but if you don't order the slab of Canadian bacon you're wasting your life and I feel bad for you."

Blue Smoke Perfect For: Full On Pork Indulgence 116 E. 27th St.

"Really good North Carolina pulled pork, but the Kansas City Spareribs are my favorite. The best side is the crispy brussels sprouts.

ABC Kitchen Perfect For: Impressing Out Of Towners 35 E. 18th St.

"This is the first place I had lemon ricotta pancakes. And no others have ever been as good. And they have at first weird and then delicious smoothies."

Bubby's Perfect For: Neighborhood Hang 120 Hudson St.

"My kind of comfort food. I go here when I want to feel good about everything. They have the best pies and there's a great old fashioned photo booth in the basement."

Otto's Tacos Perfect For: Quick Eats 141 2nd Ave.

"Cheap, simple, tasty tacos. And I always get a Mexican Coke, cause daddy like his sodas with REAL sugar."
