Growing up, there were The Little Mermaid kids. There were the Beauty and the Beast kids. Then you had the weirdos that loved Fantasia.
And then you had the Jungle Book kids - the most rabid Disney fans of them all. The person writing this happened to have fallen into the last camp (and had every single line of the movie memorized by the age of four).
Today, the live action remake of The Jungle Book comes out, and to say it’s a big deal would be a big understatement. Which is why we’re so excited to have Neel Sethi - Jungle Book star, Upper East Sider, and 7th grader - as our Friday Fives guest today. Neel was chosen out of 2,000 kids to play Mowgli, so you definitely need to see him in action. Check out his NYC restaurant picks below, and see him in The Jungle Book, out in theaters today.
"Big family style meals with my favorite dish - Lobster Ravioli."
"Favorite place for dosas and idli when I'm in the mood for the most real South Indian food."
"Love the duck with shrimp Mac-n-cheese. Unique menu with all things "bird" cooked French style by a Japanese chef!"
"Pepperoni slice to live and die by! Everything is great - especially the garlic knots and chicken cutlet parm heroes."
"Love the entire menu 'cause there are only 3 thinks they serve! Best burger, a whole lobster, and a lobster roll (like in a hot dog bun). I order all 3 and then completely pig out!! That's my adventure!"
