We’re always looking to make The Infatuation the best platform to find restaurants, and we appreciate your feedback!

Hi Infatuation reader. With restaurants around the country reopening, we understand that socializing in any form might still feel strange, and poses risks too. Should you go out to eat? That’s up to you. But we’ll continue to keep you informed as best we can. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to email us at community@theinfatuation.com.

Michael Strahan

Michael Strahan

Hardest working man in show biz? That’s gotta be Michael Strahan. The former star New York Giants defensive end hosts a morning show (LIVE with Kelly and Michael), a weekend show (FOX NFL Sunday), AND has time to write a book, and is seemingly everywhere at the same time.

Never has a football player made a transition to a post-pigskin career more smoothly than Strahan has to TV show host. We always knew he had the chops for football studio work, but the morning show thing is pretty damn impressive. So impressive, that we’re definitely picking up his aforementioned new book, Wake Up Happy, which is, to quote, “a mélange of stories and motivational advice to inspire the reader to turn up the heat and go from good to great in pursuit of their personal ambitions.”

Speaking of our own ambitions, let’s talk about the #EEEEEATS. Strahan went with the brunch theme to tie into the book, and threw in a bonus LA pick because that’s where he’s at every weekend during football season. Next time you’re at Bagatelle for a bachelorette party, keep an eye out for Strahan dancing on one of those tables.

Michael's "Perfect for" Brunch Picks

Bubby's Perfect For: Brunch 120 Hudson St.

“The original location is in Tribeca, but they opened a location near the High Line last year. Although it’s usually very busy, it has a very chill, relaxed vibe. It feels like home. Everything on the menu is delicious, but I start every meal with an order of the biscuits. They are legendary. Everything is fresh and most of the ingredients are sourced locally.”

Bagatelle New York Perfect For: Brunch 1 Little West 12th St

“It’s like being in St. Barth’s in the middle of New York City. It’s a very upbeat atmosphere and a lot of fun. The music is always on point. This is definitely a brunch spot where you’ll have champagne and mimosas flowing. The best part is that when you come out, it’s still daylight. You can go home and rest, and feel good the next day.”

Jacob's Pickles Perfect For: Brunch 509 Amsterdam Ave.

“This is comfort food at its best. When you go here, be prepared to eat… and to eat well. They have a lot of traditional brunch dishes, but also serve fun plates like chicken and pancakes. The signature cocktails are all really great. My favorite is the Bloody B.L.T. (their version of a Bloody Mary).”

Melba's Perfect For: Brunch 300 W 114th St

“Arguably the best southern comfort brunch in New York! It’s not only great during the day, but also really fun at night. Sometimes they host an open mic night which is a lot of fun. I highly recommend checking it out!”

Simmzy's Perfect For: Brunch 229 Manhattan Beach Blvd

“I love the vibe of this place. I really love that it’s outdoors, on the beach, and very laid back. The menu is great, but I love this place most for its sangria!”
