For the past few decades, Laura Prepon has been a fixture in our homes. For years, it was on our living room TVs as Donna on That 70s Show. More recently, it’s been on our laptops, at 3am, as Alex Vause on Netflix’s Orange Is The New Black. So we do blame Laura for at least a few sleepness nights of binge-watching.
We don’t, however, blame her for her restaurant picks – a solid list of West Village-heavy favorites. If you like her taste in food, you can also preorder the book she recently wrote, The Stash Plan, a healthy-eating focused cookbook. For now, pause whatever you’re watching on Netflix and check out her top spots below.
“I love Buvette in the West Village. I spent a lot of time in Paris as a kid and this makes me feel like I’m back there. It’s so authentic and I love the aesthetic of the food and décor.”
“They have great coffee and seasonal, organic bites. I love getting a coffee there in Autumn and walking around that neighborhood. It makes you really appreciate NY in the Fall.”
“This is a great date place! It’s casual and cool and the food is awesome. Sit at the bar, which is one of my fave places to eat and hang.”
“The food is amazing and the executive chef PJ Calapa creates incredible dishes.”
“I always love to bring people who are visiting me to Soho House in the west village. It’s so beautiful, I love the way it’s decorated and furnished. Wes Whitsell, the executive chef, puts together seasonal menus with farm fresh ingredients. The food is amazing and the vibe is great.”
