La La Anthony

La La Anthony

Where were you at 4pm on a school day in 2003?

If you’re between the ages of 20 and 30, there’s a good chance you were sitting on your couch watching MTV. Specifically, TRL. More specifically, watching La La on TRL. (You might have even been watching the episode in which our co-founders Chris & Andrew met - true story.)

In addition to being the VJ you spent your afternoons with, La La went on to act, produce, and write a best-selling book - not to mention running one of the best celebrity Snapchats out there. She also happens to be an expert on eating in New York City, which is no surprise given she’s from Brooklyn and is married to a fellow hometown hero.

Check out her NYC restaurant picks below, and catch her in the new season of Power, premiering this Sunday July 17th on Starz.

La la's "perfect for" picks

Warren 77 Perfect For: Sports on TV 77 Warren St.

"This is a small, low key sports bar. Has a super chill vibe and is great for watching a game with friends."

Mercer Kitchen Perfect For: Girls Night Out 99 Prince St

"There is nothing I love more than a girls night out. No matter where we go we always have the best time, but I love to go to dinner with my girls so we can all get caught up when everyone's in the city together. Mercer Kitchen is really cool. It has a great atmosphere and delicious deserts."

Empellón Al Pastor Perfect For: Late Night Eats 132 Saint Marks Pl

"The best thing about NYC is that there are so many places that are open late. There's a great taco spot, Empellón Al Pastor in the East Village. They have delicious drinks too!"

The NoMad Restaurant Perfect For: Date Night 1170 Broadway

"Nomad Restaurant at the Nomad Hotel is one of my favorite places for date night. The food is amazing and it has this gorgeous atrium space so you can look up at the sky while you enjoy dinner. It's definitely a great spot for a romantic dinner."

Pizza Perfect For: Cheap Eats

"You can't beat a slice of NY pizza! There are so many great pizza places scattered around the city."

Carmelo Anthony

My husband

He posts the most hilarious videos and memes about life growing up in a hispanic family. They are so on point.

This kid is an inspiration. He's literally changed my life. Anthony suffers from Hypoxic Anoxic Brain Injury and is a little fighter! His mother is such a strong, inspiring woman and I follow his page so I can keep updated and see how he's doing.

I have a line of cosmetics called Motives for La La and they always post really cool user photos on their account, so I love to see how people are wearing the product.

My mom, but she almost never posts anything... maybe once or twice a month. I need to encourage her to post more!
