JJ Redick is an absurdly good basketball player. After starring at Duke, Redick has improved every year he's been in the NBA, and has become a very good NBA player. He's one of the best three point shooters around, automatic from the line, and also an underrated defensive player. He's a key cog in the Clippers machine that could very well vie for a championship this year, especially now that they locked their star center DeAndre Jordan in his house and didn't allow him to sign with Dallas like he had initially agreed to. Speaking of DeAndre, considering what's gone down in JJ Redick's world this week, this Friday Fives will feature as many ?+ emojis ?➡️?...??? as possible.
Redick has excellent taste in ?LA☀️ restaurants, as displayed in his ???????☕️ picks below. He must ? on the West Side, because all of his picks are near the ??. ? players, they're just like us?. They take ?'s of their breakfast tacos and eat at Foreign & Domestic when they're in Austin too.

JJ's "Perfect For" Picks
The Tasting Kitchen (1633 Abbot Kinney Blvd, Venice, CA) - "Abbot Kinney in Venice is one of my favorite areas in LA and The Tasting Kitchen is my favorite spot to brunch on an off-day. All of their brunch dishes are great but the highlight for me is the "pannier de pâtisseries"- an indulgent bread board with four or five of the daily pastries."
Fishing with Dynamite (1148 Manhattan Ave, Manhattan Beach, CA) - "I live in the South Bay and this is one of my favorite restaurants in Manhattan Beach. The bartenders here are great (not to mention incredibly friendly) so grab a seat at the bar. The seafood is always fresh and they have a great oyster selection. Make sure you get the key lime pie for dessert- it's the best I've ever had."
Capo (1810 Ocean Ave, Santa Monica, CA) - "My wife and I have been here several times. Capo provides an intimate atmosphere, delicious Italian food, and an impressive wine selection. Try the wood-fired octopus appetizer, the corn and white truffle pasta, and make sure you order the soufflé for dessert!"
?Impressing Out of Towners?
Nobu Malibu (22706 Pacific Coast Hwy, Malibu, CA) - "To me - there's not a better dining experience in LA than sitting outside on the patio at Nobu Malibu. The sushi is delicious, the cocktails are fun, and the views are spectacular. This location almost always has a few special items on the menu that aren't available at other Nobu locations. In addition, what out of towner doesn't love a good LA celebrity sighting? You're almost guaranteed to see one here.
☕️Coffee And A Light Bite?
Gjelina Take Away (1427 Abbot Kinney Blvd, Venice, CA) - "GTA is another Abbott Kinney spot that's great for a quick bite. I love going here in the morning for a cappuccino and the breakfast sandwich (a homemade english muffin filled with a fried egg, cheese, bacon, and braised kale)."
