Greg Isenberg Of 5by

Greg Isenberg Of 5by

For this week's Founder Fridays, we've got the CEO of 5by, a video site after our own hearts. 5By curates the firehose of internet video (cough Youtube) into manageable streams of straight quality. The first thing the site threw our way was a CHVRCHES cover of "Cry Me a River," so, yeah, they know what they're doing.

Greg is a combo founder/funder, having been a higher-up at several successful companies, including "Wall Street Survivor" and stresslimitdesign, and providing some financial love to killer startups including Circa and Quietly.

Clearly he knows his eats and drinks as well. Tosca with the parents? Your parents must be much cooler than ours, Greg. This is a good list for running into the movers and shakers around town, or at least we imagine it is (think you have to be one to know).

greg's "Perfect for" picks

Samovar Tea Lounge Perfect For: Celebrity Sightings 730 Howard St

Some of the biggest influencers in technology, like Jack Dorsey and Kevin Rose, are often at Samovar Tea Lounge in Yerba Buena Gardens. Sip some zen tea while you take It’s got a terrific view of downtown SF and some of tech’s finest entrepreneurs."

The Ramp Perfect For: Day Drinking 855 Terry a Francois Blvd

Tosca Cafe Perfect For: Dinner With The Parents 242 Columbus Ave.

"Your parents will fall in love with SF and praise god after eating the amazing food at Tosca Cafe. It’s an old dive bar turned into beautiful Italian restaurant that’s got a perfect blend of trendiness and damn good food. Grab one of their well-crafted cocktail at the bar before dinner, you won’t regret it."

Señor Sisig Perfect For: Impressing Out Of Towners 300 Pine St

"To create a perfect burrito is the beautiful intersection of where arts meets science and the food truck Senior Sisig has got it down pat. Senior Sisig is a filipino and Mexican fusion burrito truck. Get the California burrito. Be prepared to wait in line but I promise it’s worth it."

Old Skool Cafe Perfect For: Unique Dining Experience 1429 Mendell St

“Old Skool Cafe is in one of SF’s roughest neighborhood and its employees are all former inmates and troubled-youth. After being in the restaurant for 3 minutes, you could see how excited the staff is to be there and put their past behind them. It doesn’t hurt that the food (southern) is outstanding. Try the ribs. You have to experience this for yourself.”
