It's Friday y'all. Who's ready to dance? Brillz is the Twonk originator who's spent the last few years trekking the country playing the biggest party festivals in America and notching two Top 10 dance albums along the way. Don't know what Twonk is? TIME TO GET ON IT. Check out Brillz latest EP Geekin and find out for yourself.
But when he's not spinning in front of the masses, Brillz is dead set on finding the best (and healthiest) food in the area. And tonight he's headlining at The Fonda Theatre right here in Hollywood, so we asked the LA resident himself to give us his top spots in town. Check out his choices below and grab tickets here for tonight's big show. Bring your party pants.
"My secret weapon. Whenever I have people at the studio, sometimes I suggest they just let me order from one of my favorite spots. When the food comes, and they love it, they ask "WTF is it?" Then I say, it’s vegan. Mind blown."
"One of my fiancé and I's favorite restaurants tucked away in the heart of Laurel Canyon. In the '60s and '70s this was the go-to spot for The Beatles, Joni Mitchell and Jim Morrison."
"My new obsession is Bibigo, a build your own bibimbap Korean spot in the Century City mall food court. This place is crack!!! You add an assortment of ingredients into your own personal "hot stone" (a hot metal plate they put it in a rustic looking wooden box crate)."
"Best build your own salad spot in LA! They have different classic rap lyrics displayed in random spots inside too. This is my go-to spot for a pre-show meal, gotta keep it light before jumping around for two hours."
"I’m a lone wolf when I’m workin' on my music, so often time I’m eating solo. Since I moved to LA 10 years ago one of my #1 spots has been Pita Kitchen. Chicken shawarma plate, hummus, Israeli pickles, Israeli salad, side of falafel - game over."
"After creative meetings with my team working on our Vape Juice (@twonkjuice on IG) or the Twonk clothing line, we reward ourselves at Salt and Straw on Larchmont. Best ice cream I’ve ever had in my life, hands down."
