We've been trying to impress Alec Baldwin ever since he played Winona Ryder's ghost dad in Beetlejuice. We just figured if we got to the father figure, we could get her past that fruity Johnny Depp guy who we knew would never amount to much. Unfortunately, neither of us had any way to reach Mr. Adam Maitland at the time, and instead spent most of those years listening to The Cure and painting.
Much time has since passed, and Alec Baldwin has reinvented himself five times over and become one of the most beloved actors of the last three decades. As for us, we cry a little less often, and have created a moderately successful website about eating. Less significant achievements for sure, but one of them did finally connect us with baddest of Baldwins. Thanks, internet.
So today we bring you one of our biggest Friday Fives to date, and one that is close to the heart. Alec gives us his go-to restaurant picks for New York, with a bit of freestyling on the categories. No matter. Jack Donaghy can do whatever he wants. Check out his Perfect For picks below, and be sure to follow Alec on Twitter for some funny stuff, some smart stuff, and some stuff that makes you think he might actually run for mayor of this town. God willing.
