We’re always looking to make The Infatuation the best platform to find restaurants, and we appreciate your feedback!

Hi Infatuation reader. With restaurants around the country reopening, we understand that socializing in any form might still feel strange, and poses risks too. Should you go out to eat? That’s up to you. But we’ll continue to keep you informed as best we can. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to email us at community@theinfatuation.com.

How to Eat Free Tacos This Weekend, Thanks To SoCal Honda

How to Eat Free Tacos This Weekend, Thanks To SoCal Honda

We’ve all been to the car dealership before - it’s not usually a great experience. Enter the Helpful SoCal Honda Dealers. It’s their mission to be helpful inside and outside the dealerships, wipe clean all those stereotypes and actually give back to Honda owners and SoCal residents. For example, they’ve surprised SoCal residents with free ice cream from their Helpful Honda Ice Cream Truck for the past few weeks. We like this idea.

We also like their next idea - to buy out some of the area's best taco trucks and park them at locations throughout Southern California on Saturday, September 17. It’s one of many ways SoCal Honda is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month throughout September and October.

See below for the official truck schedule, and how you should order once you get there:

  • CHANCHO’S TACOS, 10-2PM, 7th and Spring, Downtown LA
  • TAMARINDO TRUCK, 11-3PM, 304 N Cypress St, Orange, CA 92866
  • GUERRILLA TACOS, 12-4PM, The Cellar 6531 Greenleaf Ave, Whittier, CA
  • KALA TRUCK, 12-4PM, El Centro Park, 320 E Erna Ave, La Habra, CA 90631v

Chancho’s is another LA taco staple and one of the best taco trucks roaming around the Westside. Their Al Pastor tacos are absolutely fantastic and if you can go here without ordering their carne asada fries, we have nothing in common. All marinade and salsas are made in-house as well.

Coming straight from Orange County, Tamarindo is a food truck with a strong reputation for bringing truly authentic Mexican food to the OC masses. The menu itself is fairly large, but everything from the ceviche to squash blossom quesadillas is worth ordering.

Guerrilla Tacos 826 E 3rd St

LA is no stranger to great tacos, but Guerrilla might just be the best of the bunch. The graffiti-adorned food truck has been crisscrossing the city for a few years now, serving new-age tacos and building a rabid following in the process. Think fried squash blossom and ricotta or sweet potato and feta tacos. Just don’t get attached to any one in particular - the menu changes regularly, but know whatever you get will be phenomenal.

Kala is an Irvine-based taco truck and has lines around the block for their insanely delicious Patron tacos. That's right - steak marinated in actual Patron tequila topped with pico de gallo, guacamole, and Queso fresco. Everything at this family-run joint is worth ordering, but we’ll certainly be going back for seconds on those babies.

Follow the SoCal Honda Dealers on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for more Random Acts of Helpfulness and also to see what else they'll be doing to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.
