Marisa Dunn
Content Manager, Zagat
Even though she’s originally from Maryland, Carolina blue and white run through Marisa’s blood. And just like how fellow UNC alum Michael Jordan is really good at basketball, Marisa is really good at winning our office NCAA basketball pool every year. She’s also really good at setting up and operating our new markets as we expand around the US and beyond. Marisa’s duties as Cities Coordinator ensure that she spends time working on nearly every city that The Infatuation exists in, and she therefore knows more about restaurants all around the country than pretty much anyone.

Neil's Coffee Shop
The food at Neil's hasn't changed in half a century, but we're okay with that. This Upper East Side diner is a classic.
Scalinatella
Scalinatella doesn’t serve the best Italian on the Upper East Side, but it’s a good spot for an old-school experience.
3 Guys Restaurant
3 Guys doesn't have the best food around, but it's a New York classic and still a great spot for people watching.
Candle Cafe
Candle Cafe is one of your only vegan options on the Upper East Side, but it’s also pretty good.
Takoda
Right off U Street, Takoda has a nice (but small) rooftop and some good bar food options. We like it for a day drinking session or even a casual date.
Colada Shop
The food at Colada Shop is just okay, but the space and location make it a good place for a quick meal around U Street.
All-Purpose
All-Purpose is a neighborhood spot in Shaw with excellent Italian antipasti and some good pizza.
Rasika West End
Like it’s Penn Quarter counterpart, Rasika West End serves some of the best upscale Indian food in the city.
Compass Rose
Not sure what you want? Compass Rose is the move. The Logan Circle spot serves small plates inspired by street food from all over the world.
Haikan
There are plenty of places to get ramen in DC, but Haikan is doing it a bit differently. Try it for a casual dinner next time you’re in Shaw.
Lake Street Bar
Lake Street is a neighborhood bar in Greenpoint that’s best for watching sports and throwing back frozen Negronis.
Broken Land
Broken Land’s spacious patio and excellent Piña Colada make it one of the best places to spend an afternoon drinking Brooklyn.
Van Leeuwen Artisan Ice Cream
Van Leeuwen is one of our favorite ice cream shops in New York. The Greenpoint outpost is small and also has coffee and a few pastries.
Peter Pan Donut & Pastry Shop
The lines at Peter Pan Donut in Greenpoint are as long as they were 50 years ago (out the door) for a reason.
Jungle Cafe
For good vegan food without pretension, head to Jungle Cafe in Greenpoint. It’s not hip whatsoever, and that’s why we like it.
Bakeri
Bakeri is a Greenpoint coffee shop/bakery that looks like a modern version of a Jane Austen scene.
Capri Social Club
Capri Social Club is a plain-looking bar in Greenpoint that’s hands down the best place to buy a beer or take a shot in the whole neighborhood.
Birch & Barley
When you want a good beer but don't want to sacrifice good food, head to Bitch & Barley in Logan Circle. It's the best of both worlds.
