We weren’t expecting a restaurant to be on the 18th floor of a building on the Northwestern hospital campus, but that’s exactly where we found Woodwind. The menu has strange-sounding-but-actually-delicious small plates like a sweet and savory Big Mac-inspired foie gras bao, and pomegranate roasted squash with chunky peanut butter, plus larger options like tender lamb ribs glazed with lavender and honey. The upscale space has a nice view of downtown, and the food makes it a fun option for dinner in Streeterville. Just try to ignore any “Code Blue” announcements while walking through the lobby.
