This Napa Valley-inspired restaurant in the West Loop is like Summer House Santa Monica for people with mortgages. Oakville is from the same team, has a similar wood-and-plant-filled aesthetic, and the same “viral hits” playlist. It also has an aggressively dull menu: crudo, a few housemade pastas, shredded brussels sprouts salad, and some steak. Dishes range from pretty good to fine, and it’s hard to justify making a reservation here when there are so many great (and more interesting) places in the West Loop. One thing that is noteworthy is that they have a 750-plus wine list. Something on it is bound to go well with the menu’s “nice green salad.”
