Strings Ramen Shop

A spin-off of the popular Chinatown spot, Strings has some of the best ramen in Lakeview. With a low-key dining room and first come, first served seating, it seems like a casual enough place at first - but then you take a look at the menu and see “HELL RAMEN” in all caps. There are five spice levels of Hell Ramen if you’re seeking a challenge, but no judgments if you’d rather opt for a less painful meal. They serve three different broths (shoyu, miso, and tonkotsu) and proteins like vegetarian mushrooms, spicy clams and pork, and filet mignon.
