Family-owned Ponce Restaurant has been in Hermosa for over 23 years. Their steak jibarito stacks layer upon layer of skirt steak and delivers the tastiness you’d expect from a jibarito, though the cheese is an additional cost. But you should also have carne frita - it’s juicy and makes for a quick snack (or an entire meal paired with one of their 12+ appetizers and sides). That said, there’s just something about weekend specials. They feel, well, special.
