Podhalanka
With its massive counter space and plenty of bar stools, this cash-only Polish spot in Noble Square is probably a dive bar in a parallel universe (maybe one where humanity has figured out teleportation). But in this reality, Podhalanka serves great pierogies instead of beer. The menu only has three options, cheese, cabbage, and meat, but they’re all perfectly seasoned and wrapped in a thick, chewy wrapper. When topped with onions and a dollop of sour cream, it makes for a delicious combination of savory and tart that has us wishing we could instantly warp into their dining room.
