Pizza Lobo
Pizza Lobo’s original Logan Square location is great for the following reasons: they have good pizza-by-the-slice, pitchers of beer, and a large outdoor patio that’s perfect for the two weeks in the year that Chicago isn't a frozen wasteland. And their Andersonville location is the same—down to the rectangular dining room with a large retro bar, colorful glass light fixtures, and two disco balls that might inspire you to use the word "groovy." The best slice is the Borgata with calabrian chile honey and pepperoni, but if you come with enough people, order one of their pizzas that are only available as whole pies, like the Coal Miner with vodka sauce, pancetta, and smoked provolone. Plus, they're open until midnight, so it's great for a late-night snack if you live nearby.
