Lexington Betty Smoke House

756 E 111th St

Chicago, IL 60628

The sheer perfection of the rib tips at Lexington Betty’s earns them a spot on any BBQ list, football-related or otherwise. They’re meaty and tender, with a deep pink smoke ring and a ton of flavor. And it’s essential that these tips get paired with the candied yams, mac and cheese, and greens. Right now, there are three places you can find Lexington Betty’s - a food truck in Galewood, One Eleven Food Hall in Pullman, and Dr. Murphy’s food hall in the Medical District.

Present your “I Voted” sticker at either location of Lexington Betty’s (there’s one inside Dr. Murphy’s Food Hall in the Medical District or at One Eleven food hall in Pullman), and you’ll get a free bourbon-pecan bread pudding.

Ok - we understand that rib tips are not technically ribs. But the sheer perfection of the ones at Lexington Betty’s earns it a place on this list. They’re meaty and tender, with a deep pink smoke ring and a ton of flavor. And their sauce, inspired by Chicago mild sauce, is some of our favorite BBQ sauce in the city, period. Right now there are three places you can find these rib tips - a food truck, One Eleven Food Hall in Pullman, and the brand new Dr. Murphy’s food hall in the Medical District.

The sheer perfection of Lexington Betty’s deserves a moment of silence - probably because your mouth will be full of smoked meat. One particularly perfect dish here are the rib tips - they’re meaty and tender, with a deep pink smoke ring and a ton of flavor. But we also love the turkey leg and the pulled pork - and it’s essential that whatever you order gets paired with the candied yams, mac and cheese, and greens.
