Green Zebra is a great place to eat vegetarian food in a more formal and sophisticated setting. Unlike other meat-free spots, Green Zebra doesn't just serve salads and plain vegetables you don’t want to eat, in a drab space. Instead, it's a real restaurant where you can sit down to a nice meal of beautifully plated dishes. Expect things like persimmon carpaccio with avocado mousse and arugula or squash risotto with zucchini and eggplant. It’s a great spot for a date or small group of friends for people who don’t mind not having meat.

Blue Door Kitchen serves southern food in an old mansion in the Gold Coast. The courtyard patio is beautiful for when it's nice outside.
