Dough Daddy's
Where we've featured it

While we’re at it, let’s throw another new Detroit-style into the mix. Dough Daddy’s is a delivery-only restaurant operating out of The Press Room in the West Loop. And these pies rival a deep dish from Lou Malnati’s in terms of heft. They’re very cheesy and rich, with fun flavor combinations like “A Perfect Pear,” topped with butternut squash, roasted pear, pancetta, and gouda. The crust is doughy and thick, which helps it hold up to the generous amount of toppings. It’s also worth noting that the pies don’t feel too pricey, ranging from $13-$16, especially considering that your pizza might last you a week.
There have been a lot of new pizza spots since the pandemic, and Dough Daddy has joined the parade. It’s a virtual restaurant operating out of The Press Room in the West Loop and focuses on Detroit-style pies. This spot has fun topping combinations like n’duja with lemon ricotta, blistered tomato, and basil pesto, or “A Perfect Pear,” topped with butternut squash, pear, pancetta, and gouda.
