City Mouse

City Mouse is the new West Loop spot in the Ace Hotel, from the same team behind Giant. To start, they were only serving brunch, and the meal we had was pretty underwhelming. While we liked the griddle cakes, some of the dishes both tasted and sounded like the result of a Mad Libs game, like the “Gas Station Sandwich” with jelly and American cheese. We’re big fans of Giant, so we’ll be back to check out if things are stronger now that dinner has started up.
