Depending on the type of meeting you’re having, you might want to go to a coffee shop that feels somewhat professional, or at least looks like it has wifi instead of dial-up. Neither of these apply to C.C. Ferns in Humboldt Park, which looks and feels like an ’80s rec room. But if you’re having a casual meeting with someone who has an affinity for retro video games and/or DOS, this place should make them feel right at home.
C.C. Ferns is a coffee shop in Humboldt Park that also serves boozy steamers (like scotch and honey, and a hot White Russian). The space looks like a retro rec room, but with more wifi and less Mom bothering you. This means that you can come here to multitask and play video games on your laptop while you manage your Thundercats eBay store. Just know it closes at 3pm during the week.
Fun Fact: Hogsalt Hospitality owns 3 Greens Market, Sawada, and C.C. Ferns. We already told you the first two were great for getting work done, so it should be no surprise that C.C. Ferns (in Humboldt Park) is, too. The space looks like a 1980s vacation cabin, but with wifi, Doughnut Vault donuts, and no Jason from Friday the 13th. That we know of.
