BroBagel

While the name BroBagel may conjure up visions of a fraternity churning out baked goods as part of a fundraising event, don’t be fooled. This carryout operation in Wicker Park is from the owners of nearby pizza spot, Piece Brewery and Pizzeria, and they clearly know dough. At BroBagel, the delicious New York-style bagels are boiled then baked for an especially crackly crust with a springy interior. They’re hefty and thick, and so is the cream cheese that’s slathered on. The bagel sandwiches are pretty solid, and there’s even a vegan option with scrambled spiced tofu, sautéed mushrooms, onions, and spinach.
