You were so busy keeping track of Chicago’s travel bans and figuring out the logistics of wrangling your entire family for a virtual Thanksgiving that you overlooked the best part of the meal. No, not that you can finally mute your uncle. You forgot all about dessert - specifically delicious, delicious pie.
And because this year has been stressful enough without throwing a homemade pie crust into the mix, you might want to leave the baking to the experts. Luckily, these 10 places still have Thanksgiving pies available for pre-order and pickup.
The Pies
We recently checked out this new bakery from the team behind Little Goat, and their Cheez-it cupcake ended up being . Sugargoat specializes in fun flavor combinations, including an apple pie with a cheddar-caramel sauce, a chocolate shake and fry pie, and classics like pecan and chocolate cream. All of which are still available to order for Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving pre-orders are closed at Hoosier Mama, but every day some extra pies become available due to cancelled orders, which you can track here. If you don’t feel like spending the next three days refreshing your #pietracker, they have first-come, first-served pies available from 11/24-11/26 at both the Chicago and Evanston locations.
The bad news: Bang Bang has already sold out of their pumpkin pie. The good news: they still have their apple, chocolate caramel, key lime, and chocolate pecan pies available for preorder, and pumpkin pie is almost as boring as turkey.
Sweet Mandy B’s is our go-to sweet shop whenever we, as adults, want to eat a chocolate dirt cup topped with gummy worms, or rice krispy treats topped with frosting and sprinkles. But they also have plenty of options that don’t sound like something you’d find at an eight-year-old’s birthday party - like pecan, pumpkin, and apple pies. They’ve sold out of Thanksgiving pre-orders, but you can still do day-of orders at the Streeterville location.
This upscale West Loop bakery and cafe still has lots of Thanksgiving desserts available for pre-order, up to (and including) pie. You’ll find options like caramelized pumpkin pie, pear caramel cake, apple rosette tart, and a french silk pie. You can pick them up on Tuesday or Wednesday of this week.
This cafe in Edgewater is home to Honeypie Bakeshop, where you can still pre-order full pies for Thanksgiving. They also sell pie by-the-slice in case you’d prefer to craft your own Frankenpie. Choose from flavors like pumpkin, whiskey pecan, pistachio cream, and a vegan apple crumb.

Sometimes eating dinner at Joe’s is just an excuse to eat a slice of their famous key lime pie. And this year you can pre-order full-sized versions of their pie menu, including pumpkin chiffon, sweet potato, apple, peanut butter, and yes, key lime.
Brite is a brand new bakery operating out of Metric Coffee from two former Publican pastry chefs. And this spot still has Thanksgiving pies available for pre-order. Choose from flavors like caramel apple, sweet potato gooey butter cake, pean, or get the Thanksgiving Pie Sampler, which is three full-sized pies for $95.
You can no longer pre-order Thanksgiving pies from Classic Cobbler, but you can still stop by and pick up treats (like apple or peach cobbler) from their stall in Dr. Murphy’s Food Hall.
The producers of The Great British Baking Show might disagree, but a tart is basically a pie. And you can still head over to Lost Larson in Andersonville for delicate versions of pecan pear, lemon meringue, or pumpkin spice tarts.
