Chicago Bars & Restaurants That Are Closed Right Now Due To Covid-19

The recent rise in Covid cases has caused some Chicago restaurants and bars to temporarily shut down.

We’ve rounded up those places below, in order to keep you informed on the state of your city and to encourage you to support these restaurants when they can reopen (some of them are selling gift cards in the meantime). We’ll continue to update our list as more information becomes available.

Chicago Restaurants & Bars That Have Confirmed Closures on Wednesday, December 22nd, 2021

• Dear Margaret - Lakeview (plans to reopen on the 29th)

• Gretel - Logan Square (closed through the 28th)

• Nico Osteria - Gold Coast (reopening on the 27th)

• Momotaro - West Loop (closed through the weekend)

• El Che Bar - West Loop (hopes to reopen on the 28th)

• Trivoli Tavern - West Loop (closed through the holidays)

• Pops For Champagne - River North (closed until the New Year)

• Giant - Logan Square (closed until the 28th)

• Gilt Bar - River North (closed for indoor dining until next week, still accepting carryout and delivery)

• My Buddy’s - Uptown (closed this week)

• Mi Tocaya - Logan Square (closed until the 28th)

• Cherry Circle Room - The Loop (closed until the 29th)

• Table Donkey & Stick - Logan Square (closing for dine-in until after Christmas, still offering carryout and delivery)
