A photo series covering what it looks like to dine outside in Chicago right now.

It’s been almost three weeks since Chicago restaurants were able to reopen for outdoor dining. And since space (and patio permits) are hard to come by, the city has allowed neighborhoods around the city to close off streets, enabling restaurants to expand their outdoor seating arrangements. Below, we put together a photo series highlighting how restaurants around the city have adapted - even if it means dragging couches out into the street.

If you’re feeling ready to visit a restaurant, our guide to Chicago Restaurants Reopened For Outdoor Dining is here to help.
