London Content Lead/Editor
Located in London, England
Are you the restaurant-savvy person friends are constantly asking where they should go on a third date? Or the person who always gets asked to pick the restaurant for a group dinner? Are you also a funny and intelligent person who would like to do to this as a career at a fast-growing startup?
The Infatuation is launching in London soon, and we're looking for someone to serve as head writer and all-around team captain there. We need someone who can write restaurant reviews and guides, and can also think strategically about growing The Infatuation in the London area.
We are not looking for a professional food writer, and we'd actually prefer candidates without professional ties to the restaurant industry. Instead, we're looking for someone who knows London and its restaurants well, and would be excited to write about them in an entertaining manner.
Interested? Send us a sample London restaurant review, as well as a bit about yourself and why you’d be a good fit for the role to firstname.lastname@example.org. Attach a resume, but no formal cover letters please. If it seems like a fit, we’ll be in touch.
ABOUT THE INFATUATION: You know the trusted friends you turn to when you need a restaurant suggestion? That’s us. We aren’t “professional” food critics, meaning you won’t hear any pretentious foodie hobnob from us. We also aren’t restaurant industry insiders, nor do we accept invites, comped meals, or solicited reservations. Ever. We strive to make the reviews and guides that we write both entertaining and useful, so that you can find a restaurant that’s “Perfect For” whatever you need, be it some Action At The Bar, or Authentic Ethnic Eats. In addition to our website and app, we operate over 15 Instagram accounts, and operate an on-demand text message-based restaurant recommendation service called Text Rex. Our business is supported by partnerships with brands such as American Express, Jameson, Budweiser, Absolut, Moet, Mastercard, and PayPal.
