Kendall Square is home to the numbers man statue (who is apparently named Alchemist), biotech companies producing products for the next Blade Runner movie, and Sumiao Kitchen, a Chinese restaurant that serves distinctively spicy, sweet, and sour Hunan dishes. While we’ve only been able to enjoy takeout from here, we do still highly recommend their salt-and-pepper shrimp, which is well-season, perfectly fried, and not too spicy even at the highest spice level.
