Red White Japanese Restaurant

Red White is a fast-casual Japanese vegan place on Newbury Street. But it’s not vegan in the sense that they take a burger, make it plant-based, and then insist that you won’t be able to taste the difference. It’s vegan in the sense that it serves rice and udon bowls that just don’t happen to have any animal products in them. The menu is small and, unlike a lot of spots on Newbury, it doesn’t have much in the way of patio seating, but this should be on your radar as a lunch spot if you work in the Back Bay.
