If you polled every Southie resident under the age of 35, Loco Taqueria would be the runaway winner as the neighborhood’s favorite restaurant. This place is packed just about every night with people downing margaritas and soft shell corn tortilla tacos, and it’s a lot of fun as a result. The tacos are good (those tortillas are made in-house and you can tell) and they come in a variety that covers everything from carnitas to less traditional fillings like chicken and bacon ranch. We recommend coming in on Tuesday, when the tacos are priced between $2-$3 and you can try just about each one.
