Bar Mercato is a hotel restaurant downtown that, thankfully, doesn’t feel like a hotel restaurant. It claims it’s a pan-European small plates place, which, based on the menu, seems to be another word for American. If you’re in the neighborhood and want a place for a business lunch that doesn’t make you feel like you’re on the set of Wall Street, or you want drinks and a light bite after work, this is a good option, especially if you start by splitting the pierogis.
