This has been an incredibly challenging year for restaurants. Many places started doing takeout and delivery for the first time, while others underwent drastic transformations. And sadly, a lot of spots were forced to close as well.
There’s also a growing list of restaurants that are choosing to hibernate this winter for a variety of reasons: cost control, employee safety, or simply out of necessity as they await federal aid. Next spring, at the end of what may be a very dark and challenging winter, we’re hoping to see all of the restaurants on this list back for good.
If you know a place that should be included, please send an email to boston@theinfatuation.com. We would also like to credit the Boston Restaurant Talk blog as a source for a number of these hibernations.
