Barcelona is home to a killer craft beer scene (unknown to the rest of the world, but famous in Spain), minus a lot of the pretension you’ll find elsewhere. Unsurprisingly, many of the city’s top breweries have Americans behind them, but the beer they’re churning out, like the offerings from Cerveza Fort, for example, is routinely excellent. Ale & Hop in El Born is our favorite craft beer bar and serves local brews alongside beers from all over Europe. They also offer delicious tapas (like sweet potato patatas bravas) that are perfect when you’re drinking a few pints.
